====== Grace (Gr) ======
How favored the character is by the [[:gods]]. In game terms, how much divine magic a [[:characters|character]] can cast. Grace can take on large positive and negative values; positive values indicate favor by the gods and negative values the opposite. If a player lets their grace fall too far into the negative, their [[:gods|god]] may intervene. Grace can be replenished up to the [[#max grace|maximum grace]] by simply [[skills:praying]] to your [[:gods|god]]. A character's [[skills:praying]] level, [[characters:WIS]] and [[characters:POW]] effect what the [[#max grace|maximum grace]] a player can seek. Grace values may exceed the character maximum by [[skills:praying]] on an altar to their god.  If below 50% of maximum grace, a players grace will recharge slowly based on a players [[characters:gr_regen|grace regeneration rate]].

==== Max Grace ====
If a player does not have the [[skills:praying]] skill their max grace is always 1
Otherwise; Grace is calculated based on a players [[characters:WIS]] and [[characters:POW]] and the level [[skills:Praying]].

A [[:characters|character's]] maximum grace can be defined by:

If [[skills:praying]] is at or below level 10
  Max Grace = (((2 x the Wisdom Bonus) + the Power Bonus)) x (Praying Level + 1)/3) + Praying Level

If [[skills:praying]] is above level 10
  Max Grace = (((2 x the Wisdom Bonus) + the Power Bonus) x 11/3) + (2 x (Praying Level - 10)) + 10

Therefore, using the below table, a player with level 15 praying, 15 WIS and 20 POW, would have:

  Max Grace = (((2 x 1) + 2.25) x 11/3) + (2 x (15 - 10)) + 10
  Max Grace = ((2 + 2.25) x 11/3) + (2 x 5) + 10
  Max Grace = ((4.25) x 11/3) + (2 x 5) + 10
  Max Grace = 16 + 20
  Max Grace = 36 Grace
