I downloaded the arch directory recently, now I´m wondering about two things: There must be a program or script somewhere for merging all those millions of xpm, png, xbm files into the huge crossfire.xpm/.xbm/.png "archives". Where can I get it? Perhapd I didn´t search hard enough? According to the README file, "arch/dev/xpm.template" would contain a list with all colours allowed for creating xpms. It contains about 20 colours - that is very few. Looking into the crossfire.xpm archive I discover *far* more colours than that (like 10 times more). Hum, how comes? Did everybody just ignore the xpm.template file? Or is xpm.template outdated and all predefined xcolours are allowed? At least all predefined xcolours (like 256 or so) shouldn´t cause any trouble nowadays. As long as we don´t decide to use a 3d engine with true colour and insane screen resolutions - I think we´ll be okay :-) Andreas V. -- Sent through GMX FreeMail - http://www.gmx.net
