I've just packed up a 0.96.0 release. The announcement message should be coming out soon. Unless there are significant problems, the release after this should be 1.0. Given that, a few notes: 1) Peter will be working on moving the current repository to sourceforge. Once he starts the move, the boltzmann.eecs.berkeley.edu repository will become read only. This is to ensure that no commits get lost. 2) IF you know of any bugs in the 0.96.0 release (even if they date back further), please send a message to the list. Best I know, the current snapshot is bug free. 3) The only code commits going forward should be for bug fixes and adjustments in balance. The point now is to make the version even more bug free. New features should not be getting checked in for 1.0 at this point. If in doubt, ask before you check in. Presuming nothing unexpected happens, I expect to roll a 1.0 release relatively quickly in comparison to past released (maybe in a month or so). I expect post 1.0 releases to go back to being development releases again (full of new features and bugs). Depending on various factors, we may go into bugfix mode for a release or to. I want to keep the ongoing future versions the main branch. If someone wants to take the task of making various updates to 1.0 to make it more stable/reliable/whatever, thats fine by me.
