If i were to split hair in four (as we say in french :-)), i'd say that when you use burning hands (or another spell) you mainly succeed in casting the spell, and thus killing monsters is a side effect which shouldn't give xp ^.^ If you cast a nice cone spell (as burning hands is), does it make you better at killing monsters? <grin> More seriously, the main drawback of having the same xp even if doubling (or tripling) the recipe is that it's pretty hard to level in mental. It does take time, much more than killing monsters... unless you party with someone & watch your xp go up. Ok right now having a high mental maybe isn't a big issue... But i find that regretful ! It's a skill, thereshould have uses & rewards for having a high level there...
