From a more narrow perspective, one could argue that once you have successfully made a recipe, how much do you learn by re-making it? But one has to ask if exp is really a measure of how much one learns, or more an abstract principle. However, a few notes: In the new skill system, which will probably get checked in sometime soon, there is no longer experience categories - instead, each skill has an exp total associated with it. Also, there is no longer any requirement that overall player exp is the sum of exp in all the skills. It is also possible to tune the amount of exp that goes to the characters overall exp from the skill. Thus, it is possible to set it so that 10% of the exp a character gets in alchemy goes to their total - this should make it more reasonable then give out larger rewards for such skills without messing up the balance quite as much, eg, a character could be level 50 in alchemy, but still only level 5 overall. _______________________________________________ crossfire-devel mailing list crossfire-devel at lists.real-time.com https://mailman.real-time.com/mailman/listinfo/crossfire-devel
