  Traps definately are not living objects (and pretty much all runes do have 
no_pick).  Thus, it is true, no_pick objects could change layers.

  I don't remember the details of the layer swapping - I seem to recall it was 
when a portion of a big image was not in sight or the like.  I'd have to look at 
the map2 code again, but one issue is we need to send the big image, and would 
use the layer from the first visible space as its real layer.

  So to be honest, I don't know if the problem is completely solved or not.
