[crossfire] Alex, the general

To explain the problem I paste an excerpt from the crossfire-IRC-channel:

kill him...

11:05:00 < Luziferus> dont know... i get messages as if i hit him but i
cant see any effekt

skill) that allowed to roughly detect the state of a monster

maybe it is a side effect of a recent code change.
