[crossfire] Reminder: Release 1.11 forthcoming (On GTK V2 Client )

I basically agree that the new changes should be seen. But at some point,
that also applies to other reas, like the server. In the case of the server, it
would clearly need to be documented as alpha quality, and even questionable if
code that is in flux should be released.

Now the client code is stable, and as mentioned, no big changes have been made
yet. But as I do think about it, I believe all the deprecated protocol stuff
was removed from the trunk client, but not that stable client - I believe that
does mean that the trunk client may not be playable on some very old servers.
I'm not sure if there are any servers that old, and I think even if they are, no
requirement that latest client should support them - if you want to play on an
old server, use an old client.

Right now I'm leaning to just releasing stable version of all the components
now, and maybe do a snapshot release of the trunk client in a week or two when
everything on it gets sorted out (packaging, etc) - there isn't any real reason
that has to coincide with the stable release - and in fact, it may make more
sense to do future snapshots if there are changes out there we want tested.

That also gives us feedback on any issues before really committing the trunk
client to be the stable client - it would be bad to make that commitment now,
only to find out that there are some issues which really doesn't make it
suitable for that right now.
