Sometimes it can take several minutes to report or show up on the metaserver list after a crash event. It's pretty old. It's running on a Debian 8 virtual machine. It doesn't give a version number in "help > about" - just that it's the GTK Client V2. Compared to the current servers listed in the hyperlinks you provided, I can see all the 4 listed as v1.75, but not metalforge. If you want the convenience of Metalforge showing up in your metaserver list, you will need to update your client or modify the code for available metaservers to use the EU and/or US metaserver mirrors and recompile the client. Or, manually enter the host name of crossfire.metalforge.net to connect.
