In an arena, no final damage can be done. Ie regardless of the caster/s type when hp = 0 or lower the player is teleported out and not killed. A monster arena is perfectly possible, the only problem with it is that after killing the monster you don't gain any exp (perhaps the map maker could give some reward bonus.. artifacts, notes, money..) the real issue is that the player has no 'risk' to doing these maps, and so as long as they can keep playing, they can keep gaining money with no risk of death. While this may be fairly inconsiquential (how much money do players need? there is so much around I would be surprised if players had to resort to this to gain money.. and if they did something is wrong). I believe AV might have suggested a player vs monster arena and I would be happy to see one implemented. I know in the circus in caterham has a monster arena in which you pay a small amount of money to fight various monsters, this map could be reworked to take advantage of AV's arena tiles. dnh On Wed, 20 Jun 2001, Joel South wrote: > > If a normal monster kills you in the arena(not an avatar),do you die > a normal death or do you get teleported to the floor's destination?
