If the subject of acid+repair is up again, I'd like to repeat my opinion that item repair should be available, but limited as I suggested a week or so ago -ie, the item can only be partially repaired (unless perhaps it's only slightly damaged, where it could be completely repaired). The partial repairing could either slowly bring down the "quality rating", or keep the "quality" as it always was but wear the item out such that it is *eventually* destroyed (that earlier post explained that better). ... That way, item repair wouldn't need to be very expensive (perhaps repair cost could be proportional to amount to repair; maybe you could even pay for partial repair?) as the limitations of repair would balance it. Corrosion-immunity could stay at 50%ish, as it would make a long-term difference (or it prolly should be adjustment of probability that item will corrode). ... So: newbie is likely to not suffer too much from a one-off incident with rust monster, but it can still make things difficult for players who fight *lots* of acid monsters. Tomble > The way it is now your stuff doesn't get corroded when you > have 50% acid res. But where is the difference for a newbie? > At low levels you don't have acid res. Once you are strong > enough to get acid res you are also strong enough to get > lots of money. And then you will also be able to repair > your items. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
