  the server should load it, but at the same time, spew out an error message for 
each such unknown variable in the map.

  In addition, the flag value is of course stripped off.  Which means that when 
the map is saved, it will be saved without that that flag.

  this can be confusing in that if you say 'well, you can use it on map XYZ', 
but you introduced map XYZ a few weeks ago and some people have already entered 
it/whatever (so it is now their private map), it just won't work.

  And note that there is no in game way to rid yourself of your personal 
arpartment, save quit the character.
