Should not :). Sometimes ago there was a memory leak but it was fixed.
However there, for performance reasons, map redrawing use a backbuffer now.
On bigworld map this mean about 10M backbuffer for each loaded map. This 
mean about 10M per opened map (plus about 5M for resto of system, and
additionnal memory used by arch images, but which are loaded/unloaded on 
demand to manage memory).

This lazt loading/unloading of picture resulted in less memory used at load 
time and lots less time spend to collect arch at startup time.
