My original message on this thread is now obsoleted, I have fixed the Makefile 
issue myself and the patch has been updated on the sourceforge tracker.

Whilst it won't do anything without the map files being edited It also won't 
do anything bad, and it has been tested with a partially updated map set.

The region definitions themselves have been updated from the wiki;

Since I have resolved my previous issue with this patch. I now wish to request 
that it be merged into CVS.
