[crossfire] Map saving updates

Hello.

I committed yesterday changes to the map saving functions.

Hopefully they will make the server more robust towards corruption, ensuring 
maps are not partially written to disk.

I do advise people running servers to backup their data before updating to 
SVN, though :)

I do think there is no breakage, but there is always some corner case I may 
have forgotten ^_-
