But even in Brest you're able to find kobold generators, mice, goblins,
etc.

Just having a lot of higher level monsters lined up in a narrow corridor
isn't exactly what I meant. Anyway, kind of, yes.

Yes, that's nice. :)

Having signs like "Very high level area Be careful!" for just having a
few trapped dragons there, won't help at all.

And what about an inner voice saying a level 30 character staying in
front of a level 50 map something like: "You have a really bad feeling
about this place.". This could even be a skill "sixth sense" or so. ;)

But that's a matter of map design, right? If you don't find anything
suitable for your level, it's no fun to die there. Don't create high
level regions which may be attractive for low level characters.

Indeed, not very elegant to deny a path this way. But what about things
like guardians which don't allow you the pass, because the governor
don't allow it? Or a gate pass, port pass, passport, ...? ;)

Or you're invited by the king of an island because he heard about your
heroic deeds and has a job for you. ;)

There are many ways to do it in a role playing style.

Yes, something like that. You could also have a secret path with a
password which would allow you the enter the region (for player who
already did the quests and don't like to do it again with their second
character).
