OK, I just conducted a little test. I collected the various poison resis
eq that I have, and here is what I got:

Orcish helmet, resis poison +30
Serpent cloak, resis poison +50 (!!!)
Mudman's ring, resis poison +30
Venomtooth, resis poison +80 (!!!)

TOTAL: 95% poison resistance. Alright, I admit this is quite a high-level
set of eq, but even after removing serpent cloak, I still got 90% poison
resis. The key ingredient here seems to be Venomtooth, though admittedly
it's not that easy to get at lower levels. But even without venomtooth, I
can still get 75% poison resis (with serpent cloak, that is).

So anyway, the point is, I don't see poison protection as lacking at all.

Now I wonder what happens if a Gnarg warrior is wearing all the above eq
*and* casts holy poss.... :-P
