[CF List] problems with crossfire

we are using the cfclient, it says
cfclient -server localhost
Could not open ~/.crossfire
/keys, trying to load global bindings

Warning: could not convert seysym F30 into keycode, ignoring
Warning: could not convert seysym F32 into keycode, ignoring

Warning: could not convert seysym F29 into keycode, ignoring
Warning: could not convert seysym F31 into keycode, ignoring
Warning: could not convert seysym F33 into keycode, ignoring
Warning: could not convert seysym F35 into keycode, ignoring
Can't connect to server: Connection refused
and we have suse 7.0, when i first start it in that way, i can see a quick flash of the program switching on and off.
