I have the DX client running on ME, also on 98_se. DX is really picky about hardware drivers I found and the DX client is prone to these issues. I have seen many games that required an older driver for DX to function properly. The DX client does work well enough to play however. (make sure you have DX 7 or better) As it was so abruptly put, the DX client is not supported. I would like to point out that without a client for windows that is a snap to install (no need to compile or download a pile of helper applications) there will be a lot less crossfire players out there. ----- Original Message ----- From: Magnus Kronhamn < mak at solace.mh.se > To: < crossfire-list at lists.real-time.com > Sent: Thursday, May 02, 2002 9:20 AM Subject: Re: [CF List] Windows DX Client > > a bit without success.
