I think stats should be capped. OTOH, it would be kinda like throwing away the stat potions. My opinions on stat potions: 1. very rare -- I know it won't help too much since there are always people willing to give them away to others. :) 2. beyond racial stat cap, the stat potions could have temporary effects and a percentage chance of stripping a point from a random stat. ie, already maxed out on str, but need just a little more to fight the next baddy... quaff a str potion that adds to str, but wears off after a random time interval. this benefit comes w/ a price, though... %chance that potion will reduce a stat either temporarily or permanently. 3. same thing when using stat pots on items. give a % chance that the combination messed up & the item becomes cursed w/ -1 whatever-stat. 4. set eq-wielding races' caps to be MUCH lower than non-eq wearing races Just some thoughts. :) Yua Ca Van ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anton Oussik" < antonoussik at gmail.com > To: "Crossfire Discussion Mailing List" < crossfire at metalforge.org > Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2005 2:43 PM Subject: Re: [crossfire] Re: Random ideas.
