I think stats should be capped. OTOH, it would be kinda like throwing away
the stat potions. My opinions on stat potions:
1. very rare -- I know it won't help too much since there are always people
willing to give them away to others. :)
2. beyond racial stat cap, the stat potions could have temporary effects and
a percentage chance of stripping a point from a random stat. ie, already
maxed out on str, but need just a little more to fight the next baddy...
quaff a str potion that adds to str, but wears off after a random time
interval. this benefit comes w/ a price, though... %chance that potion will
reduce a stat either temporarily or permanently.
3. same thing when using stat pots on items. give a % chance that the
combination messed up & the item becomes cursed w/ -1 whatever-stat.
4. set eq-wielding races' caps to be MUCH lower than non-eq wearing races
Just some thoughts. :)
