By its very nature, a 1.11 release would come from the stable branch, and not
from the trunk.
There are several possible things that could be done:
1) Backport libglade changes to 1.11 release. If that is done, it almost makes
more sense to just make a copy of what is currently the trunk client and call
that the stable and 1.11 release (probably easier, and I'm not sure of any
unique changes in the trunk right now). Note that going forward, that may not
be true - point of trunk client is to be able to make changes, etc, without
having to worry about backwards compatibility - it just has to be compatible
with the trunk server.
2) Make the 1.11 client release from the branch client, and also do a snapshot
release of the trunk client. That's just extra work.
3) Just do a 1.11 client release - folks wanting to use the trunk could still
get it from SVN.
As an aside, has the rpmspec been updated for the libglade changes? Do we
care about RPM's?
