I would say that wikipedia have the right approach, username if there is one,
and only if there isn't, then print the ip address.

Two points I would make. the first is that it would probably be better to
group the messages, so that they are sent only once a day (or once a day per
user?)
the second would be that the page name, and the edit summery should form the
top line, followed by the username/ip adress. This would make it easier to
skip over changes by trusted users, and catch any spammers (should they
appear).
